Why Zombies Are Impossible

in All About Zombies

A question often asked is why zombies are impossible. Have you ever tried to hold a conversation with a zombie? They are impossible to talk too. They constantly moan and grown; they try to get at you every moment and they always want to eat. Okay, most of you women out there are saying that we just described your husband. Actually, the question is not that zombies are impossible to get a long with; the question is rather there is even a remote possibility for them to exist. Or is the concept of a zombie only a figment of our curiosity and imagination?

The Doubters

Does this look impossible to you?

There are many who believe that the concept of zombies is impossible. For some it is a stretch just to imply that something dead can become reanimated; let alone become a flesh eating zombie. When eighteen year old Mary Shelley began penning a novel about a dead body being reanimated through the power of lightning almost 200 years ago her words aroused the curiosity of a generation and of every generation since. Could the dead be brought back to life and if so what would be the result. Bringing back a body is one thing; but would that body still have a soul or consciousness as we understand it?

Lighten Up

Those who would argue the possibility of mindless zombies are simply thinking too hard. There are people out there writing scientific books to defy possibility revolving around:

• Lack of consciousness
• Physical to phenomenal theories
• Rigormortis and body decay

Lighten up people! Why do we have to find relative scientific confirmation to prove everything is conceivable? This may come as a shock to you but man does not know everything. Much we know about the human brain is based on theory and there is much more to be explored.

Conclusion

If you seek evidence that zombies are impossible simply look at the facts:

• To our knowledge there is no confirmed sighting or confrontation with zombies on record.
• All of us have had conversations with people we assumed might be brain dead; but they were not zombies as we envision them; only those who had partied a few too many times.

However, because it has not happened yet does not rule out the possibility of zombies in the future. Opinions will always vary on this subject just as the argument over life after death will always exist. The point is; just because we cannot scientifically confirm it with the technology we have available does not rule out a possible zombie epidemic in time.
