What is a Zombie?

in All About Zombies

A Zombie can be in many forms but it is always something that isn’t alive in the true sense. Instead it is among the undead and it has a hunger that it is struggling to satisfy. The thrill of scary movies that involve Zombie plots, blood, and gore are very popular. Even when you have your fingers over your eyes you can’t help but spread them apart to look at some of what is going on.

Zombie movies have been around for decades and they only continue to get better. The great effects and graphics that can be done today are far better than some of the early ones. In fact, that is why so many early Zombie shows continue to be redone and they are always a huge success time and time again.

If you have a wonderful imagination then Zombie books are also a very good idea. They can give you hours and hours of entertainment. Plus you can bring those Zombies to live in your own mind. Some feel that a Zombie is a monster but others think that they are just misunderstood. For those that are a bit different themselves they can often relate to that status and do they will find some solace in those characters.

Zombies are often given human characteristics too which helps to reduce the difference between what they are and what constitutes a real person. That is where the sensations of what if can creep into the mind of a person. They may start to wonder how they would survive if they knew that there were Zombies around. What would they do if their friends, family, and neighbors were no longer human?

It can be fun to fantasize about it. In fact, that is part of the reason why so many children and adults dress up as Zombies for Halloween. For just a small bit of time they can assume part of that role themselves.

Even though a Zombie is a threat we can’t help but to be entranced by them. They are often faster and more aggressive than those they pursue. Yet in the movies and the books the Zombie almost always comes to and end and there is a hero to save the day. That is part of what gives us hope that there will always be a balance and that good will prevail in the end.
